POSITION TITLE: Business Development Manager – Software

POSITION SUMMARY:

This position is the primary seller and revenue generator for the mid‐market segment of a cyber security  Software‐as‐a‐Service offering. The Business Development Manager operates in a channel driven sales  model. The role entails signing, onboarding, go‐to‐market planning for partners in the assigned territory  and generating revenue from those partners to hit the sales plan.  The Business Development Manager  provides the support partners need to succeed in the marketplace and works with the partner to generate  maximum revenue from their customers and prospects. The successful candidate will be an aggressive  self‐starter, goal‐oriented, and committed to winning.

This position is located in Stamford, CT. Some travel is required.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Hit/exceed sales objectives and other key performance metrics as assigned
• Develop and execute partner‐specific plans to achieve goals
• Effectively communicate the offering’s value proposition
• Work with partners to understand their business needs and objectives
• Co‐sell with partner sales teams to win business
• Identify and cultivate the partner’s decision makers and key constituencies to drive revenue
• Build and maintain strong, long‐lasting partner relationships
• Onboard partners according to the defined onboarding program
• Collaborate with sales and operational team members to ensure partners’ success
• Make recommendations to the business based on partner experience and feedback
• Record accurate and complete information in the CRM system
• Provide accurate revenue forecasting to management
• Participate fully in training sessions, meetings, skill building and professional development  classes
• Attend lead‐generating industry conferences as needed

REQUIREMENTS:

• 5+ years’ technology sales experience, consistently exceeding targets
• Cyber security experience or SaaS experience preferred
• 2+ years’ experience selling thru and with channel partners
• Demonstrated ability to communicate, present and influence credibly and effectively at all  levels of the organization, including executive and C‐level
• Proven ability to drive the sales process from plan to close
• Proven ability to position effectively against competitors
• Executes sales cycles in the framework of a strategic selling methodology
• Excellent listening, presentation and negotiation skills
• Excellent verbal and written communications skills
• Highly competitive, energetic self‐starter
• BA/BS degree
