Dale Cline
Chief Executive Officer

Dale serves as Chief Executive Officer, overseeing BlackStratus’s strategic direction and driving its global growth. Prior to joining BlackStratus, Dale has served in a myriad of leadership positions in the industry including General Manager of McAfee Software Division and President of the Americas, President of Knowledge Products (a division of Global Knowledge), President and Chief Operating Officer for InfoRay Inc., Vice President of Worldwide Channels for Network Associates, President of the Americas Organization. He also worked in software and sales management at Microsoft Corp. Dale earned his bachelors degree from Rutgers University and a masters from the New Jersey Institute of Technology.

John Frenville
Chief Financial Officer

With a wealth of accounting, financial, and business management experience, John serves as BlackStratus’ Chief Financial Officer. The company’s former Controller, John’s background includes working as a Controller/Business Manager for New Jersey Lawyer and Controller for GCG, Inc. He also worked as Publisher, Director of Finance and Administration, and Controller for Creative Black Book. John has a degree in business from Pfeiffer University.

Brian Minnihan
Chief Technology Officer

As Chief Technology Officer, Brian oversees software development and device integration. An expert in the cyber security field, Brian previously served as the Vice President of Engineering at BlackStratus. His career includes positions such as Chief Technology Officer – Service Management at Raritan, Vice President of Engineering at SkyOptix, Technical Manager/District Manager at Bell Labs, and Senior Delivery Manager at IBM Global Services. Brian has a bachelor’s degree in mathematics from the University of Missouri-Columbia and a masters in computer science from Penn State University.

Mike Maxwell
Chief Security Officer

As Chief Security Officer, Mike oversees Technical Service Operations, Technical Account Management, Product Management & Strategy, and Industry Analyst Relationships. Before coming to Black Stratus, Mike spent over a decade with BT; where he led global delivery of Assure Threat Monitoring; the security monitoring platform for notable events like the London 2012 Summer Olympics and the 2015 Rugby World Cup. With almost 20 years of experience in IT Security and Service Delivery; Mike knows exactly what is required to deliver world class IT Security solutions to organizations of all sizes and experience levels.

Debbie Crum
Chief Marketing Officer

As Chief Marketing Officer, Debbie is charged with accelerating the BlackStratus brand in the global marketplace. Debbie is the Founder and Chief Customer Guru of Moxie Rocket, a management consulting firm specializing in go to market and high growth strategy and execution. Her professional background includes working as Chief Customer Officer at Deltek, Customer Success Officer at Gravy, and Senior Vice President of Worldwide Sales at Xybernaut. Debbie has a bachelors degree from The George Washington University.

Phil Rugani
Chief Revenue Officer

Phil brings his wealth of experience in sales, marketing to serve as Chief Revenue Officer at BlackStratus. His career has included working as Vice President of Worldwide Sales at Halogen Software, CEO of Factonomy. He also served as Senior Vice President – Americas and WW Channel Operations at Filenet, which was subsequently acquired by IBM. Phil earned his bachelors degree in mathematics from Wagner College and has done masters work at New York University’s Courant Institute of Mathematics.

Terry Boazman
General Manager of Europe, Middle East and Asia

A veteran in the world of Network and Security Management, Terry has extensive experience in building sales teams and driving revenue growth in many well-recognised, global organisations including – Racal Telecom, DEC, Reuters and Cable & Wireless. In 2002, Terry founded iSimile, a UK based Security Information Event Management company that enjoyed significant success before being acquired by Teneo in 2010. Educated at King Edwards Five Ways School, Birmingham, Terry later went on to study Business and Computing at The Open University.

Shelley Lamberta
Chief of Staff

As Chief of Staff, Shelley is responsible for ensuring effective operations and communication across the company. A veteran of BlackStratus, she has served in a number of capacities including Director of Operations and Director of Special Projects. Her career in cybersecurity also includes working as Director of Operations at Nardello & Co., Chief of Staff at Venda, Inc., and Vice President at SBLI USA Mutual Life Insurance Company, Inc. Shelley earned her bachelors degree from Webster University.

Rich Murphy
Vice President of Products

Rich serves as Vice President of Products, managing BlackStratus’ state-of-the-art portfolio. A veteran team member of BlackStratus, Rich previously served as Director, Technical Account Management as well as Senior Technical Services Engineer. Rich began his career in cybersecurity working for IBM as Operations Manager of Customer Support, Product Specialist, and Senior Technical Support Analyst. He has a degree in computer science from Georgia Institute of Technology.

Donald Carfagno
Vice President of Technical Services

As the Vice President of Technical Services, Donald oversees Professional Services, Presales Technical Support, and Corporate Information Technology and Information Security. Prior to working in this role, he served as the company’s Operations Director. Donald also has experience as the Operations Director at Global Knowledge, IT Director at InfoRay, Inc., and Load Planner for United Parcel Service. Donald holds degrees from both Penn State University and Rutgers University.

Dennis Cline
Vice Chairman

Dennis works with management and the board of directors to address issues ranging from finance, to strategy and to corporate governance. Dennis has served as an independent director on multiple public company boards and as a CEO in multiple technology companies. He is currently a Vice Chairman at Madison Holdings and serves as an independent director on the board of Marchex (NASDQ: MCHX). Dennis holds a Juris Doctor from Rutgers Law School and a bachelors degree from Rutgers University.

John N. Stewart
Senior Vice President, Chief Security and Trust Officer | Cisco

John N. Stewart formed and leads Cisco’s Security and Trust Organization, underscoring Cisco’s commitment to address two of the most critical issues that are top of mind for boardrooms and world leaders alike. Under Stewart’s leadership, the organization’s core missions include protecting Cisco’s public and private customers, enabling and ensuring Cisco Secure Development Lifecycle and Trustworthy Systems efforts across Cisco’s portfolio, and leadership in the areas of privacy, trust and assurance, and efforts with governments globally.

Throughout his 25-year career, Stewart has led or participated in widely ranging security initiatives from IT design for elementary schools to national security programs. In addition to his role at Cisco, he sits on technical advisory boards for Area 1 Security, BlackStratus, Inc., and Threatstream. He is a Board member at Shape Security and RiskSense, Inc. and serves as a special advisor to RedSeal’s Board of Directors. Additionally, Stewart serves on the Australian Department of the Prime Minister and Cabinet Cyber Security Review panel and was formerly on the Cybersecurity Think Tank at University of Maryland University College. He served on the CSIS Commission on Cybersecurity for the 44th United States Presidency, was on the Board of Directors for Fixmo, Koolspan, the National Cyber-Forensics Training Alliance (NCFTA), and Shadow Networks, and was on advisory boards for many companies including Akonix, Cloudshield, Finjan, Ingrian Networks, Nok-Nok Labs, Riverhead, and TripWire.

Stewart is a highly sought public and closed-door speaker and his team was most recently recognized with the 2016 Security Organization of the Year, and he individually recognized with the RSA 2015 award for Excellence in Information Security. Other recent honors include the global 2014 Golden Bridge Award for CISO of the Year, as well as the CSO 40 Silver Award for Chief Security Officer of the Year in 2014.

Stewart has a Master of Science degree in computer and information science from Syracuse University.

Melissa Hathaway
Cybersecurity Expert | Hathaway Global Strategies

Melissa Hathaway is a leading expert in cyberspace policy and cybersecurity.  She served in two U.S. presidential administrations, spearheading the Cyberspace Policy Review for President Barack Obama and leading the Comprehensive National Cybersecurity Initiative (CNCI) for President George W. Bush.   As President of Hathaway Global Strategies LLC, she brings a multi-disciplinary and multi-institutional perspective to strategic consulting and strategy formulation for public and private sector clients.  Having served on the board of directors for two public companies and three non-profit organizations, and as a strategic advisor to a number of public and private companies,  Melissa brings her clients a unique combination of policy and technical expertise, as well as board room experience that allows her to help clients better understand the intersection of government policy, developing technological and industry trends, and economic drivers that impact acquisition and business development strategy in this field.  In addition, Melissa serves as a member of the National Security Advisory Panel for Sandia National Laboratory, she is a member of the U.S. Department of Defense Science Board Task Force for Cyber Deterrence, and she is a Senior Advisor at Harvard Kennedy School’s Belfer Center for Science and International Affairs.  Earlier in her career she was a Principal with Booz Allen & Hamilton, Inc., where she led two primary business units: information operations and long range strategy and policy support for the U.S. Government and Global 500 companies.  Melissa holds a B.A. degree from The American University in Washington, D.C. and has completed graduate studies in international economics and technology transfer policy.  She is also a graduate of the U.S. Armed Forces Staff College.

Roland Cloutier
Staff Vice President, Chief Security Officer | ADP

As the CSO of ADP, Roland Cloutier brings one of the world’s largest providers of business outsourcing solutions a wealth of global protection and security leadership experience. His expertise includes the management of strategic converged security and business protection programs.

Roland has functional and operational responsibility for ADP’s cyber, information protection, risk, workforce protection, crisis management, and investigative security operations worldwide. ADP® (NASDAQ: ADP) provides business process outsourcing solutions including human resources, payroll, talent management and benefits administration to more than 610,000 clients in 100 countries.

Prior to ADP, Roland served as Vice President and CSO of EMC, where he spearheaded protection of the company’s worldwide business across both the commercial and government sectors. He has held executive security management roles at consulting and managed security service organizations and has more than nine years of experience in federal law enforcement.

Roland is active in industry development and serves on several private advisory boards.  He has won numerous industry awards and was recognized by Security Magazine as one of the “Most Influential People in Security.”

As a United States Air Force veteran, Roland understands the importance of serving our country and supporting those who have made many sacrifices to ensure our way of life.  Roland volunteers for veteran organizations such as the American Legion, 100 Nights of Remembrance and serves as executive sponsor for the ADP National Employee Veteran Council.

Wayne Wisehart
Governance & Public Policy Expert

Mr. Wisehart has served on our Board of Directors since July 2008. Mr. Wisehart is also a member of the Boards of Directors of Marchex, Inc., a mobile technology and advertising company, and Centri Technology, Inc., a wireless service technologies company focusing on advanced data acceleration. He serves as the chairman of the Audit Committee of both companies. Mr. Wisehart also serves on the Advisory Board of Directors of BlackStratus, a SIEM solutions provider. He served as the Consulting Chief Financial Officer of All Star Directories, Inc., an education lead generation company, from February 2010 to November 2010. Mr. Wisehart served as Chief Financial Officer of aQuantive, Inc., a digital marketing services company, from March 2006 until September 2007. aQuantive was acquired by Microsoft in August 2007. Prior to this position, Mr. Wisehart served as Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Western Wireless Corporation, a cellular phone service provider, from January 2003 until September 2005. Western Wireless was acquired by Alltel in August 2005. Prior to that time, Mr. Wisehart served as Chief Financial Officer of iNNERHOST, Inc., a web hosting services company, from October 2000 through February 2002, and as President and Chief Executive Officer for Teledirect International, Inc., a marketing automation software company, from February 1999 through October 2000.

Mr. Wisehart’s experience with us and other public companies has provided substantial background on governance and public policy matters which is valuable in his role as Chairperson of our Corporate Governance and Nominating Committee. Additionally, Mr. Wisehart’s experience as a Chief Financial Officer and on public company audit committees has given him financial expertise to serve as one of our Audit Committee financial experts. His experience with the financial and corporate development matters of telecommunications and technology companies is also valuable to our Board of Directors. He also has significant experience in risk management from his work as a public company chief financial officer and audit committee member.
